Um novo relatório intitulado "Building the 21st Century Library" [PDF] foi facultado em Março por: UK's SCONUL (the Standing Council of National and University Libraries) e JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee). Destaco a seguinte citação do resumo do relatório:
"Libraries should look for increased value from their principal library-wide computer systems, ensure that those 'library management systems' are integrated with other institutional systems and look to break down barriers between library users and resources."
Concordo plenamente, o mais díficil é pôr em prática a teoria.
